YBLA Impact Report
2023 - Q4
A Message from The Martins
Hello Sponsors, Donors, Grantors, & Funders!
As we concluded the fourth quarter of 2023, we are excited to announce that our young leaders impacted over 87,000 people! Our newly initiated Jr. Ambassadors kicked off their journey by organizing and executing their first big service project—a toy drive at local Title 1 elementary schools in Atlanta and Charlotte. Their efforts brought joy and left a positive mark on countless smiling kids.
At the same time, our Sr. Ambassadors were hard at work assembling teacher appreciation bags, expressing gratitude to their high school educators. They were humbled by the teachers' gratitude for such a small token. We were happy to see that 250 teachers were served last month.
Our college Ambassadors and BTP leaders successfully completed their semesters in good standing, and we proudly distributed over $3,500 in grade scholarships. To further highlight their academic excellence, we are pleased to share that eight college Ambassadors achieved a remarkable 4.0 GPA, while seven others earned a GPA of 3.5 and above.
Finally, we want to express our gratitude to the NBA Foundation for their investment in YBLA. Their funding support is instrumental in our ongoing efforts to build more Black leaders.
To all our sponsors, donors, grantors, and funders, THANK YOU for the significant investment you've made in YBLA. Your continued support propels us forward in our mission to empower and inspire the next generation of Black leaders.
